It's not like any of us actually pay rent or need jobs to keep a place here.
Leo and I talked about moving our plants over at least, not sure what else is coming with yet. So, it'll be nice to set up in the lair.

How does tomorrow sound?

It's come up in passing, but I'll keep it in mind. Even if I did lose stuff somehow, it's not the first time I've had to start over.

Leo and I are kind of early risers depending on the day, so we'll see what tomorrow turns out like. I'll keep you updated.

Kind of a race to see who makes breakfast sometimes.

[As promised, Peter does text Mikey a heads-up about coming a bit later in the morning than intended. The war of breakfast went as expected. Leonardo was the victor.

Peter shows up to the lair, at least looking more composed than last time. A box tucked against his hip. He has a few loose kitchen things present, a few smaller potted plants with name labels on them, and a few assorted things mixed in the box.

[Unfortunate news, they are extremely married already.

Peter smiles back a bit more widely, adjusting the box absently as he walks over. He does set it down on the counter.
] Yeah, I'm- trying to work on it. I'm pretty sure some days are gonna be better than others.

[Mikey can likely take a peek and see Peter is very much one of those casual home cooks given the way he has dinosaur themed cooking utensils. Enjoy the neon colored dinosaurs in your kitchen, king.]

[Peter can vaguely tell something isn't- completely right, but can't put his finger on it. He lets it roll away, assuming everything is fine.]

It's fine if you want to just shove them in a drawer, I know you probably have a system in place. I don't want to mess that up. [His neon plastic cookware isn't the most important thing to him, so Peter is pretty affable about whatever works.]

Cool, anywhere in the kitchen is good by me. I'll probably pull them down like once in a while as needed.

Oh, they're personal taste thing. [He huffs a little absently.] Then again, May would have liked these too.

[He shrugs before adding.] I don't really have anything from home here. I've just been building stuff up since we settled here.

[Peter grabs the utensils before he follows after Mikey deeper into the kitchen. He's trying to mentally place where everything is, given he's going to be living here soon and using this kitchen.]

Oh yeah, we were. [He answers easily enough. There will always be grief in passing when he lingers on May and Ben, but it has healed enough he can talk about both of them easily enough.] I lived with my aunt and uncle, so we were all close.

[Peter can access the Raph Zone fairly easily, so, he's going to have to do some further investigating later...

He sets his little gaggle of dinosaur based cooking utensils down, out of the way for Mikey to make a decision later.
]

Oh, yeah, it's okay. [Peter offers back, glad Mikey just asked, opposed to awkwardly dancing around the topic. Though it makes him wonder how to even really start. He fidgets with the hem of his sleeve uncertainly.

How do you describe people you loved so deeply and miss regularly even now? He talks around it to some extent initially.
] We all lived in Queens, for a really long time. Originally, we were pretty close to the firehouse Ben volunteered at and the synagogue he liked going to. He was my dad's older brother. He really was- a community driven guy. He knew everyone. May used to tease him about needing a clone to keep up with half the stuff he signed himself up for.
